I am doing another tag, but I was actually tagged for this one so it’s fine XD. But don’t worry, I’ll have more content-filled posts this month. Today, though, my brain is on very low battery, so we’re going to do something that is relatively easy and that I wanted to do anyway. Thank you for bearing with me :D. ~What are you currently reading?

I’m not reading anything at this very moment in time, but I’m about to start a few books:
~South of the Buttonwood Tree by Heather Webber
~Hamilton: The Revolution by Lin Manuel Miranda and Jeremy McCarter
~The Complete Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis
~Soul Harvest (Left Behind #4) by Jerry B. Jenkins

~What’s your favorite “Can’t leave the house” activity?

Honestly, there isn’t anything I’ve been doing consistently enough for it to be my favorite. At least I don’t think so. I seem to be in an endless loop of painting, youtube, singing showtunes, reading, blogging, chores, babysitting my brother, and video games.

~A book you’ve been meaning to read for forever?

Hmmm. Nothing currently. Although I really really want to read The Betrothed by Kiera Cass, which came out this May, but I haven’t been able to get my hands on it yet. Also When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead, I’ve been meaning to read that for a while now.

~An intimidating book on your TBR?

Even though it’s not *officially* on my TBR, I really want to read Les Misérables by Victor Hugo someday. I tried about a year ago and….it did not go well XD.

~Top three priority books on your TBR?

~Legend by Marie Lu
~The Betrothed by Kiera Cass
~Dust by Kara Swanson

~Recommend a short book.

A SONG BELOW WATER BY BETHANY C. MORROW!!! Yes, I have screamed about this before and I will scream again. It’s only 288 pages and it is absolutely BRILLIANT! I mean, *pulls out list* Magic? Yes. Sirens? Yes. Accurate Gen-Z teens? Yes. POC main characters? Yes. It’s seriously amazing. You can read my full review here.

~Recommend a long book.

I am going to recommend several just because I can.

~What’s something you’d love to do while you’re stuck at home?

Hmm. Honestly I have no idea. At this point I’m just trying to settle in some form of schedule. Maybe fix my atrocious sleeping patterns?

~What do you plan on reading next?

You mean, after the four books I haven’t actually started yet? By the time I’m don’t with those I might be able to go to the library so whatever I get there will be next on my list XD.

I hope you guys are staying safe, healthy, and happy! I know for me personally quarantine has been pretty difficult, but at least I’ve been reading more, lol. If you guys want me to pray for you just let me know! (Although I probably will be anyway <333) How about we all share one good thing that happened during quarantine! Personally, I’ve found that I really like to paint! I’d love to hear your guy’s accomplishments. Thanks for coming, guys, and until next time, keep reading!

  2. Thanks for the tag, Jaedyn! At least you did pick up Les Mis, I still can’t bring myself to touch it because it’s so intimidating. Meanwhile, I’m still working through War and Peace @_@, which, while interesting, is also practically a brick. I’ve been doing a lot of baking at home lately, and it’s been really fun to try out new recipes ❤

    • You’re so welcome, I can’t wait to read your answers! Honestly at the time I tried to read Les Mis I just wanted to show off and then I was rudely awakened 😂. I think I’m going to try again after the movie (which might be cheating, but it’s the best I can do 😅). You’re reading War and Peace, that’s amazing! Baking sound like so much fun!! I wish I could try your stuff🤤

  3. It took me only 3 and 1/2 months to read Les Misérables. I love reading fantasies and classics. I am actually in the middle of Anna Karenina

      • Well, it depends on how to get interested in Les Misérables. In my case, it was the musical that really helped me: I used the knowledge I have for the musical to get through it.

        In addition, mark things up that are important. If I had literally just seen Les Misérables on the shelf without my love for the musical, that book never would have been read

      • Right now reading Anna Karenina- but is the hardest book I read so far. In the 400s and still can’t quite figure out what is going on. A book where she doesn’t feel like the main character.

        Just having foreknowledge of Les Misérables in some ways is really helpful. If you actually start with the musical: this is a tip, start with either the film or stage show
